Our Story

Little Marney’s began as a dream for our founder, Olivia, who spent many years in retail and advertising. In her spare time, she loved creating rustic artworks from salvaged materials – even barbed wire – which people quickly fell in love with.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Olivia saw a chance to take that passion and build something of her own. When an old, rundown set of stables came up for renovation in Westbury, she jumped at the opportunity.

With grit, creativity, and the help of friends and family, she transformed the space into what is now Little Marney’s Gifts for Town & Country, opening just six weeks later on December 15, 2020.

From the beginning, Olivia had a clear vision:

To create a warm, inviting country gift store that celebrates Tasmania’s rich creative spirit, while offering visitors a place to feel inspired, welcomed, and valued.
